Due to a technical glitch, last week’s newsletter didn’t go out, so we’ve saved our exciting announcements for this week’s! Amber Werchon Property won the Medium Agency of the Year Award at the REIQ Excellence in Real Estate Awards held in Brisbane on Friday February 7. Sales Agent Mark McGill won Residential Salesperson of the Year – making it a double celebration.
A record number of entries were received this year and both Mark and I were quite visibly stunned when the winners were announced and we felt very humbled by the victory. Out of all the awards won throughout my career this one is particularly significant because it’s the first time my Agency has won under the Amber Werchon Property brand. The success is a team effort, so it’s fantastic recognition of the professionalism and hard work of all my staff.
Mark attributes his success to hard work, ongoing training, profile building and strong systems/structures. He credits Amber with being an inspiring mentor from his first day in real estate four years ago and continues to seek her guidance and advice when needed. Mark also established a point of difference for himself, using his background as a professional Architect to attract additional business, calling himself a Sales Architect and using his knowledge in this field to assist buyers and sellers maximise/unlock potential.
Mark and I will travel to Tasmania for the National Awards on March 20 and will try and bring it home for Queensland!
