Big week in Aussie sport!

Brrr…feeling the cold? It’s been a wee bit chilly in the morning, but wow, what beautiful days we end up with! Another compelling reason to live and invest on the Sunshine Coast – glorious winters.

Last Saturday we sold 15 Camfield Street, Alexandra Headland under the hammer, in what was one of the best Auctions of the year (according to many in the crowd).  With four highly motivated registered bidders, a crowd in excess of 80, fierce bidding, strong negotiations and finally the winning bid of $895,000, secured by a former Alex resident.  One thing was evident, someone was going to purchase that property and they were prepared to pay what they needed to, to do so.  Congratulations to seller and buyer, a wonderful example of the power of Auctions to not only secure a quick result but also to extract a very good price in a competitive environment.

The action never stops here.  This week we had real estate guru and motivator Glenn Twiddle to train and inspire our sales Agents on a critical part of their job – prospecting.  Glenn balances his presentation with lots of humour and interactive joie de vivre, understanding that we learn more when we are actively engaged and relaxed.

It’s been a massive week for sporting enthusiasts with the Aussie men (Kookaburras) winning the Hockey World Cup defeating the Netherlands in a 6-1 demolition.  Last night we had the second leg of the State of Origin Rugby League series, unfortunately with the wrong result for us Queenslanders but congratulations to NSW…their first win for a very long time!  On Saturday night Australia defeated France in the second of a three legged Rugby Union competition and oh, there’s also that major football competition going on in Brazil…the World Cup! Unfortunately, the Netherlands got their own back this morning though with a 3-2 win over our Socceroos but our boys played extremely well in both games and can leave the tournament with their heads held high.
