Applying for a property

We are one of the few agencies that will allow applications prior to inspection. We do this to minimize our vacancy periods.

While it is easy to fall in love with a property just from the advertisement, you must inspect the property prior to accepting a tenancy agreement. However, if you’re unable to physically attend the inspection yourself, you may send a representative to inspect on your behalf.

To be considered for one of our properties you’ll need to do the following:

  • Fully complete and submit a tenancy application form for each tenant over the age of 18 who will reside in the property.
  • Online applications with ‘1Form’ is our preferred method which are available on the property listing on realestate.com.au.
  • If you are unable to submit an online application you can download a copy by clicking the link below or collected from reception at our office.
  • Ensure that all applications are signed in all the necessary places and that all information required is supplied.
  • These include:

  • Employment details
  • Proof of Income (two most recent payslips, bank statements, tax returns)
  • 100 points of identification (outlined on the application form)
  • Rental references or referees

If your application is approved by the owner and you are contacted by our agency, within 24 hours of being advised you will need to pay the equivalent of two weeks rent in advance and prior to collecting the keys you will also be required to pay a minimum of four weeks rent as bond. If you require a bond loan please speak to your Property Manager who can send you an email for Easy Bond Pay outlining a 6 or 12 month payment system and the costs involved for your acceptance.

Getting things like electricity, internet and other connections organised can also be a huge additional stress when you’re moving. So as part of our service we are happy to assist and notify On the Move to contact you directly to arrange all or any of these services to be connected at no cost to you.

Please be advised that we check all applicants on the largest national tenant database TICA as part of the application process. If you have had a history of rent arrears or other property management related issues, this information will be made available to us and may hinder the success of your application, particularly if you have not disclosed it to us previously. You will be advised if we find an adverse listing on the database along with TICA contact details.
