Wear Red To Raise Awareness

Tomorrow is the annual Day For Daniel – a national day of action raising awareness of child safety, protection and prevention; run by the Daniel Morcombe Foundation. There will be a Walk for Daniel commencing at 6:00am at Suncoast Christian College, Woombye and finishing at Briggs Park, Palmwoods.  All are welcome to attend, and encourage to wear something red.

Here at our office, we are hosting an afternoon tea and our staff are encouraged to wear red in commemoration of Daniel and in a show of support for the ongoing important work the Foundation is doing. If you would like to donate to the Daniel Morcombe Foundation click here.

Well, the Spring Racing Carnival is well and truly underway, with the past few weekends hosting some of our biggest races.  What a convincing win last week in the Cox Plate by Winx…breathtaking finish, a magnificent racehorse!

Next Tuesday is ‘the race that stops a nation’, the Melbourne Cup, and there are many events celebrating this iconic day across Australia; and indeed thousands will flock to the Sunshine Coast Turf Club to enjoy a day at the races.   There is a fundraising Night at the Races on Friday night, October 28 to raise money for the Dicky Beach Surf Life Saving Club; to find out more click here.  For those of you not going to the track, but looking to celebrate in style at a local restaurant click here for some ideas. Enjoy!
