Wow, what a difference a week can make…Last week when I wrote about Australia Day we were experiencing our driest summer for many years and didn’t that change over the weekend!
No doubt you’ve all seen the amazing photos and footage of the wild seas and the foam that swept through Mooloolaba and Alexandra Headland (right opposite where our AW premises used to be)…incredible images that seem so hard to believe now the sun is shining again.
For all the great photo opportunities and pumping surf that this tropical low has brought, there is also a very grave side to the extreme weather and our thoughts and best wishes go out to all of those in flood affected areas who have experienced property damage, throughout Queensland and New South Wales. Even more heartbreaking than material losses have been the fact that lives have also been lost…a reminder we need to count our blessings daily, no-one knows what tomorrow brings.
Despite the cyclonic weather, our Agents still had people through their open homes on the weekend, a true testament to the level of buyer interest out there! January has been a very positive month with strong sales figures and consistently high buyer enquiry, a very good sign indeed for our local market so far in 2013.
