What a wonderful week it’s been! On Saturday both Wurtulla Auction properties were sold under the hammer, well above reserve – great work Tony Nash and Johnny Blaikie, interest rates have been reduced another 25 basis points and Agent Mark McGill won a prestigious award at the inaugural Australian Real Estate Awards (AREA) 2013 in the Rising Star category.
The AREA Awards were held on 1 August in Sydney with 400 of the industry’s best enjoying a five-star luncheon whilst the industry’s top performers were announced. Partnered by Domain, the AREA has set a benchmark for success within the industry, with the nation’s top performing agents and groups recognised across 20 categories.
Mark won the Rising Star category, designed to recognise the individual within the Australian real estate market that best represents the future of industry. This person is able to influence the direction of the industry through leadership and best practice. Entrants must be actively involved in industry debate and discussion and play a pivotal role in change and development.
The Rising Star award reflects an individual who is best described as a shining light who displays the characteristics of tomorrow’s leader. What an honour…we are very proud of Mark McGill.
