Wishing You All A Wonderful 2017

I hope you all enjoyed Christmas Day, however you celebrated; and now we are on the countdown to New Year’s Eve.

In excess of 220,000 people hit Sunshine Coast beaches, with Mooloolaba and Alexandra Headland, being two of the most popular destinations.  It’s wonderful to see so many people out and about, soaking up the surf and sunshine, but remember to take care and swim between the flags.

Tuesday’s Sunshine Coast Daily reported that there have more than 36 rescues across Coast beaches since Christmas Eve, with 14 of these taking place on Boxing Day.  Lifesavers have observed a worrying amount of people swimming outside flagged areas, exposing themselves to increased danger of drowning…no matter how strong a swimmer you are, you MUST swim between the flags.  Also, remember to slip, slop, slap as south-east Queensland is the skin cancer capital of the world.  Let’s love where we holiday and live, but take care to protect ourselves and our loved ones.

We are open for business (except for public holidays) and looking forward to a very busy and prosperous 2017.

Happy New Year to you all!
