One week down, one to go. The growing number of children out and about certainly brings some school holiday nostalgia with it but there is no holiday break for the busy workers at AWP.
One of the busiest agents is Rex Larkins the man in the know about all the exciting changes to Maroochydore. Maroochydore is in for a big change over the next two to three years and here are just some of the reasons why:
• The Horton Park Golf Course sold and is forecasting the last day of golf competition for May 23, 2015. A Family Gala Day is currently being organised to say a sad farewell to Horton Park as it moves to David Low Way, Bli Bli under the new name Maroochy River Golf Club.
• The next phase of Maroochydore’s Principal Activity Centre will begin with Horton Park now sold.
• The once stagnant Ocean Street has become a vibrant and exciting place for tourists and locals. Forward thinking business people have put Ocean Street very much on the Coast entertaining and dining agenda. Multicultural restaurants, live music, revamped tavern, trendy bars, night markets, boutique shopping and the refurbishment of Big Top all bodes well for the future.
Maroochydore has always been one of the best places on the Coast to live for convenience and now it is shaping up to be one of the most sought after suburbs in the coming years.
Don’t forget that it’s the 2014 AFL Grand Final, Sydney vs Hawthorn this weekend. Get behind your team!
