Q: What inspired your journey into real estate?
A:My journey began 20 years ago as a recently divorced mum with 4 girls, I decided to do what I knew I could do. I moved to a new town, Mornington, Victoria and put myself out of my comfort zone in business. I had done this before, but I was never really satisfied.. I had a passion for real estate!
Q: Did you have any childhood dream careers?
A: In school I always wanted to be a PE teacher.
Q: What, in your own opinion, is the most rewarding aspect of being a real estate agent
A: One of my most rewarding memories was of course my first sale back in 2004. A beautiful townhouse that was a conversion of squash courts! I always remember the feeling and telling myself, yes I can do this! And the acknowledgement from my Vendor and buyer. That feeling has always stuck with me, yes it was a small property but huge in my eyes.
Q: What is the best part about living and working on the Sunshine Coast?
A: I have lived in 3 States in the most beautiful areas: Mornington Peninsula, Port Douglas, Newcastle – all coastal and beachside but nothing beats the Sunshine Coast!
Q: What are your future goals?
A: My goal at this stage in my life is to enjoy my work, be grateful for what I have and give back to my family, the community and to my clients. For me, it’s not all the accolades and the money, it’s being real in an industry that is not known for this. I sincerely want to work for my clients in any way I can so that they can say “THANKS DEB, WELL DONE, YOU DID WHAT YOU PROMISED US”.
