There’s no rest for us here at Amber Werchon Property with the market pumping like it is now. This week we have three Auctions on hand.

The hammer will be falling Saturday with: 9 Yakola Parade, Alexandra Headland at 12pm – a beautiful double storey home in the Golden Triangle with ocean views and dual living…  see it’s beauty here. At 1pm we have a truly unique and warm “A” frame home that exudes its own individual flair and appeal within walking distance to two golf courses, 117 Suncoast Beach Drive, Mount Coolum.

On Sunday at 11am 224 Diddillibah Road, Diddillibah, a perfect horse property in a blue ribbon location just minutes to Maroochydore, this five bedroom family home offers a rural lifestyle with coastal convenience.

There is so much diverse beauty on offer here on the Sunshine Coast and from this week we will be showcasing a suburb and providing you with a snapshot of its appealing features.  For our inaugural week it is Booming Birtinya.

“Brown is the new Black”: Agent Peter Brown, once touted by award winning Auctioneer Jason Andrew as “the nicest man in real estate”, lists and sells in Birtinya. He has so much passion for this buoyant hub, a key driver in our economic growth. Birtinya has leapt from retirement/holiday location to vibrant commercial region offering genuine employment growth and opportunity!

A few quick facts:

The core of the hub is the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, which will be the world’s sixth-largest teaching hospital, but there’s more:

• The Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH),will be a PPP (public private partnership) with Queensland Health. Construction started in 2013, with stage one of 450 beds due to be completed in 2016, expanding to 738 beds in 2021. The hospital will create 2000 construction jobs and 3500 permanent jobs once complete. It is expected that more than 15,000 people will visit the hospital each and every day.

• The Skills, Academic and Research Centre (SARC) will provide teaching and research within the hospital campus. A $61 million capital investment, with 150 academic and support staff catering for 1300 students each year.

• Kawana Health Innovation Park (KHIP) will be a commercial precinct across a number of sites at the hospital campus.

• Kawana Town Centre and medical precinct. The town centre – adjacent to the SCUH, is also starting this year. The town centre incorporates 80,000m² of retail, commercial, community and entertainment facilities as well a medium density residential sites. It’s expected to generate around 5000 jobs during construction and similar in permanent positions upon completion.

Respected Property Commentator/Analyst Michael Matusik estimates that 10,000 new jobs will create the demand for between 5500 and 6000 new dwellings, not including an estimate for people building new housing.  A well designed mix of industrial, commercial and urban; Birtinya has pockets of stylish, chic executive style waterfront homes, that are being snapped up by white collar professionals and investors.

Apartment living is also popular with cutting edge developments fronting Lake Kawana offering residents a wonderful relaxed lifestyle where they can work, rest and play on their doorstep.

Last but not least, we here at Amber Werchon Property were shocked and saddened by the devastating events of last week which saw the loss of innocent lives with the shooting down of MH17.  RIP to the victims of flight MH17.
