Last Sunday the Sunshine Coast hosted the first Ironman 70.3 World Championship held in the southern hemisphere, and what a huge success! In excess of 3000 competitors from over 80 countries partook in the event with lots of cheering and support from the 25,000 strong crowd of spectators. It showcased our region to the world, and is estimated to have brought in $15 million to the local economy…great stuff!

Well the mercury has certainly dropped as we officially approach winter, it was only 4.6 degrees celsius in Maroochydore on Monday morning (May 30) at 6:30am; the lowest minimum May temperature since 2012!
