2014 The Year of Property

This year has been a very positive turn around for the Sunshine Coast property industry. Reports from our local tourism board is that visitor numbers are well up on last year and they are preparing for a bumper summer period.

We have experienced a return to a healthier prestige market with the highest residential sale in Alexandra Headland in some time at 82 Mooloolaba Road for $1.95 million and some great auction results like for example 36 Oceanic Drive, Warana which saw 19 registered bidders, 160 attendees and an auction price well over reserve.

I’ve always had enormous confidence in the growth of this region, with our close proximity to our state capital and our diverse natural beauty from coast to mountains, combined with gorgeous weather; we are the premium destination for not only holidaymakers but for permanent residents seeking a lifestyle change.  Who can blame them?  What we were lacking in the past was significant infrastructure and mass job opportunities; this is now being addressed through not only the hospital project but other major initiatives including the development of Caloundra South, the Maroochy Principal Activity Centre, additional runway and so on…I am anticipating 2015 will be an even more active year than this year has been. I’m really excited about what’s in store.

AWP auctions still bring the bidders

AWP agent Karine Wright had a stunning result from an auction last weekend on a block of land located at 14 Spindrift Coolum Beach. The block sold under the hammer for $400,000 with 10 registered bidders on the day and more than 36 enquiries in the four weeks campaign leading up to Auction Day. This is a fantastic result for a rare block of land in the heart of Coolum.

This Saturday we’ve got two auctions with 5 Moondarra Crescent Mooloolaba going under the hammer at 11am and 19 McKenzie Road Woombye going to Auction at 5pm.

Don’t miss out on what could be your dream home before Christmas.
