Amber Named Amongst the Top 100 Most Influential People

The Sunshine Coast’s 100 most influential people were announced this week in the Sunshine Coast Daily. Readers of the Daily were given the chance to have their say on who deserves recognition.

This Power 100 list pays tribute to the men and women who make things happen in our community. We are very excited to see Amber being ranked as number 29 of the most influential.

Sunshine Coast Daily deputy editor Damian Bathersb said “The key to this list is the word ‘influential’. The people who are honoured won’t necessarily be famous or well-known but they will be having an influence on the lives of others, both here on the Coast and much further afield.” The list will be progressively revealed, so we will wait and see how takes out the number one spot!

Amber chose a career in real estate rather than a tertiary education, despite finishing Year 12 in the top 5% of the state. Progressing to property sales by the age of 18, she opened her own agency, Amber Werchon Property, in 2008. Today it employs 60 staff. Amber is in her fourth year as REIQ Zone Chair and was last week admitted to the Fellowship of the REIQ. She was the 2010 Sunshine Coast Outstanding Business Person of the Year, was included in the 2016 Fast 100 list by the Australian Financial Review and won the Largest Residential Agency category of the 2017 Real Estate Institute of Queensland Awards for Excellence. You can view the Power 100 list so far here.

Two of our agents, Daniel Mendes and Gavin Broderick will be participating in the Currimundi Lake cleanup this Sunday from 8.00 am.  Being avid divers, they will be tanking up and help to clean the Lake, more information can be found here if you want to go along and assist.
