Every week we are reading and hearing about infrastructure projects about to commence, or underway, on the Sunshine Coast – which is good news for residents, investors, and business…new opportunities, increased employment, and additional services.
One such development, is the 12-month earthworks program about to commence at the $174 million dollar Oceanside Kawana development at Bokarina Beach. This 74-acre block of land, will eventually house buildings up to eight storeys high providing approximately 800 units, 300 homes, shops, parks, and many other amenities including childcare. Strategically located within close proximity to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, this development will attract a huge injection of investment in one of the Coast’s already booming pockets, so close to the beach, major amenities and road networks.
Developed by Stockland, Senior Development Manager Mark McMahon said the new “city” as part of its $5 billion Oceanside Kawana precinct, includes the Birtinya residential community and the 17-hectare Oceanside Health Hub.
Mark McMahon says that, “as a key precinct of Oceanside, Bokarina Beach will allow residents to enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle with a new public beach access, kilometres of bicycle and walking paths and two hectares of parkland.”
This is just one of several exciting developments taking place across our region!
