School holidays are now over for Queensland school children, and it will be heads down until the September holidays then of course the home stretch to Christmas! The Sunshine Coast has welcomed many visitors from other parts of Queensland and from interstate, and it is truly wonderful to see so many happy faces enjoying our many attractions.
This weekend, the 15th annual Noosa Long Weekend Festival kicks off – starting on Friday July 15th and running for 10 days through to July 24th. The 2016 festival kicks off with a free Community event, the Hastings Street Carnivale Parade which includes a dazzling array of street performers/musicians, circus performers, jugglers, dancers and an abundance of feathers. With over 80 ticketed and non-ticketed events, plus in excess of 220 artists and special guests…there is something for everyone to enjoy!
Foodies from the entire Coast and beyond may be interested in the Floating Street Food Market hosted by Noosa Boathouse. This roaming lunchtime street market feast showcases delicious Asian inspired street food combined with 180 degree water views – there will be live music, street market stalls and more…journey through south-east Asia right here on the Sunshine Coast. This takes place on Sunday July 17 from 12pm.
