Happy New Year to you all, we trust it was celebrated in the way you wished and that 2014 will bring great prosperity, health and happiness. After a brief break over the public holidays, we are all back on deck and ready to embrace a new year with gusto! Despite the Christmas and New Year holidays/celebrations there has still been plenty of buyer activity and several of our Agents were busy signing Contracts on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
The first week of January has brought with it extreme temperatures, breaking records all over the place…we are glad we live on the Sunshine Coast when the mercury soars, as we can hit the beach and cool down in the surf! Air-conditioned shopping/cinema complexes were packed solid, as were the beaches, public swimming pools and some of the stunning waterfall/swimming holes we have in the hinterland. This week has been much more pleasant with cooler temperatures providing some relief.
It’s been a great start to 2014 for Aussie sports fans with the Aussies winning back the Ashes in a convincing 5-0 whitewash over England and winning the first One Day International against England; the players are now pumped and ready to hit South Africa after the ODI series finishes. Lleyton Hewitt beat the ever popular Roger Federer at the Brisbane International and wowed the crowd with his gutsy performance and the Australian Open has now started, so plenty of exciting tennis to watch!
On Saturday we are auctioning 18/18 Camfield Street, Alexandra Headland at 9:00am – a top floor apartment with ocean views in highly sought after ‘golden triangle’ location within walking distance to Alex beach and surf club…with low body corporate fees and spacious interior, it’s sure to attract a result https://www.amberwerchon.com.au/1134546/ All welcome.
We have a lot to look forward to this year, including the REIQ Excellence in Real Estate Awards early next month…but in the meantime it is business as usual.
Have a wonderful weekend.
