Keep your property safe over Christmas

ONLY four more weeks until Christmas and already the crowds are turning up on the Sunshine Coast. Christmas is the perfect time to get away from it all and enjoy a holiday with the family but remember to keep your property safe if you’re planning a trip away.

Here are some hot holiday tips for keeping your property safe over the Christmas holiday season.

1. Ask a friend or relative to house sit

2. Ask the local post office to hold your mail

3. Don’t share your plans on social media

4. Put any paper delivery or magazine subscriptions on hold

5. Keep the house looking ‘lived in’

6. Hire a gardener to trim the hedges and maintain any lawns

7. Double check you’ve completely locked up

8. Don’t tell random strangers about your plans away from home

9. Turn off your electronics

10. Install security

The holiday season is a wonderful time for everyone so by following some if not all of these simple steps can help you ensure that your property is well protected while you’re away.

Saturday Auctions

This Saturday we have two fantastic properties going to the auction block.

First off the block is some vacant land at 14 Spindrift Ave, Coolum Beach at a 9am auction. This block could very well be one of the best buys of 2014 with this 607m2 flat block in a well established residential area already feeling hot interest.  Located close to schools, public transport, parks, beach and supermarkets this is a must have for any investor, family or first home buyer.

Second off the block is 6 Lalwinya Street, Buddina from 3pm Saturday. This beautiful home is just minutes from the beach with the lulling sound of the waves one of the first things you hear as you step over the threshold.  This property has a great homey feel and would be a renovators dream.
