Mooloolaba was abuzz with activity over the weekend, as it hosted the Mooloolaba Triathlon; it was fantastic to see so many people, competitors and spectators alike out and about enjoying themselves! On behalf of everyone at AWP I want to congratulate our AWP Team who came third in the Corporate Division – Daniel Mendes, Gareth Lee-Ferrari and Nicola Harper…take a bow!
Our team are encouraged to get involved in their local community, and we have a proud track record of strong community involvement at corporate and individual level. Agent Mark McGill has volunteered to support St Vinnies by participating in the St Vinnies Corporate and Community Sleepout on 29th June 2017 – yes, middle of winter, that’s the whole idea!
Mark says “As someone who works in the property industry I see daily the difference between the haves and the have nots. The Australian dream of owning a property is something many aspire to, yet many are struggling to get, or keep, a roof over their head. I’m sleeping rough for the night to help raise awareness and important funds in support of homeless services in our region. The Sunshine Coast is currently short of providing enough housing for the people moving here. More than 105,000 Australians find themselves homeless each night of the year, with 20,000 of those in Queensland”.
