The Sunshine Coast…a star performer!

The Quarterly REIQ Report for December has just been released, and it bears very good news indeed for the Sunshine Coast property market, reporting that the Sunshine Coast market was one of Queensland’s star performers in the last quarter of 2014, with a 14% increase in house sales and a median price increase of 1.8%.

An extract from the report:

“Sunshine Coast residential real estate continues to gather strength, with a rebounding economy fuelling confidence the local property market. The tourist centre recorded an impressive double digit increase in house sales in the three months to December, with local agents reporting this momentum has already carried over into 2015.  With the regional economy starting to fire on all cylinders thanks to major infrastructure projects such as the new Sunshine Coast University Hospital and Maroochydore CBD project, the area seems destined for further population growth and consequent demand for real estate.”
