Three Design Trends for 2023

If you are looking to get ahead of the game when it comes to design trends, here are our 3 top design trend predictions for the year ahead.

  1. Curves

While curved archways and walls have been increasingly popular over the last few years, in 2023 curved furniture is set to feature in lounge rooms across the country.

Statement piece curved lounges and round table settings are set to become staple design pieces. While you’ll increasingly see these in furniture showrooms, don’t forget the secondhand market where you can track down restored pieces that will give you something truly unique.

  1. Colours

Following a period of very muted tones being on-trend, colours and patterns are set to feature in new builds and renovations. It won’t stop at wall coverings either, couches and accent chairs in colours like burnt orange and rust are set to bring increasing visual interest to living areas and bedrooms.

  1. Natural Elements

Natural elements are always featured in property design and will be at the forefront in the New Year.  Cane, wicker, rattan and marble are a few examples of natural elements that will continue to have a strong presence in 2023, intertwined in with the curves and colour trends mentioned above.
