We really are lucky to live on the Sunshine Coast…not only are we currently enjoying glorious sunny Autumn weather, but we also have one of the most aesthetically beautiful natural environments, from our golden beaches that stretch from Caloundra to Noosa, through to the lush, green Blackall Range in the hinterland, there is so much diversity on offer.
I recently enjoyed a short break with my husband up at Montville which was divine. It only took us half an hour to get up there, yet we felt a ‘world away’. We enjoyed the beauty of the setting, the clean mountain air and indulged in a massage as we relaxed and soaked up the tranquility. We turned off our mobiles (the reception’s not great there anyway), and after only a short break, we came back refreshed and energised.
There really is a lot on offer up there to entertain you on a short break, if you don’t want to indulge in 24/7 relaxation, there are restaurants/cafes, a winery, chocolate shops and a variety of gift shops. Waterfalls, Baroon Pocket Dam and a multitude of bush walks also keep you fit and active in stunning surrounds.
If you haven’t taken a trip up to the Blackall Range recently, I highly recommend it – either for a pleasant day out or for a short getaway at one of the many accommodation outlets. I can’t wait to do it again!
