Wasn’t it wonderful to have a long weekend?  The weather was superb and many locals and visitors got out and about in and around our beaches and hinterland to enjoy the day, which coincided with the last day of the school holidays.

One could have been forgiven for thinking the long weekend was extended with the hordes of people in Mooloolaba on Tuesday, but it wasn’t; instead, it was visitors from the P & O cruise liner anchored off our coast and once again the weather excelled itself and no doubt many of the visitors were impressed and will put the Sunshine Coast on their holiday bucket list!

Sporting fans must have been in seventh heaven on the weekend with three major football games – the AFL Grand Final on Saturday, the Wallabies defeating England in the Rugby World Cup in the early hours of Sunday morning (our time) and then onto the NRL all-Queensland spectacular on Sunday evening.  Congratulations to all winning teams and good luck Australia against Wales next weekend.

Despite all the action on the weekend, our Agents were still out and about at ‘open homes’ and Auctions.  Well done to Jessica & Joey Ruskin on selling 5/70 Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba under the hammer for $800,000; Jared Young’s auction at Sanctuary Grove didn’t go ahead as the home had gone under contract prior.

This weekend we have another three Auctions on Saturday starting from 2pm – 19 Burremah Crescent, Mount Coolum; 4pm – 14/80 North Shore Road, Twin Waters; and 5pm – 8 Cornwall Court, Buderim. Click here to find out more.   With the Reserve Bank keeping interest rates on hold, it’s a great time to buy; see you there!
